Tam Coc Garden – Ninh Binh
Nestled amid rice fields of the so-called “Halong Bay on land” region, Tam Coc Garden is a little paradise itself. The resort is surrounded with stunning scenery made of limestone mountains, winding rivers and lush nature. There is nothing to disturb the tranquillity of the place, that has been built according to Tonkinese village traditions: stone houses with tile roofs, bamboo groves, gardens and orchards. All staff members are from the surrounding villages.
Each of the eight bungalows comprises two independent rooms, whose natural material design inspires relaxation. All the rooms feature private terraces with a view on the Halong Bay on land scenery. Within the hotel, the restaurant offers both Vietnamese and Western food. Many activities are available at the resort: embroidery, bamboo basket and kite and bong making classes, and cooking and calligraphy classes. Besides, Tam Coc Garden is located at a decent distance from the regional must-sees such as the Tam Coc Caves, Bich Dong which was the backdrop of the movie Indochina, the Trang An Caves, but also the former Tonkinese capital city Hoa Lu, the Thai Vi Temple, Phat Diem Cathedral and the Bai Dinh Pagoda.
