Mai Chau Ecolodge

3 hours away driving from Hanoi is Mai Chau Ecolodge, located at the heart of the Mai Chau Valley. Situated atop a private hill in Na Phon Village, the hotel offers a bird’s eye view of the place and its stunning scenery of rice fields.

The hotel has been built with natural materials only and embodies the traditional architectural style of the Thai minority group that lives in the area. A lot of its members actually work at the lodge. The complex comprises 19 bungalows, each of them featuring its own private garden, as well as an open-air pool, a restaurant providing a fusion of Vietnamese traditional cuisine and Thai recipes, and a massage centre. Besides, Mai Chau Ecolodge offers a range of activities in the valley and its surroundings: village trekkings, boating tours, hiking, cycling but also cooking classes, farming work and traditional dances.
